A Visit to The Islamic Civilization History Museum


On the 1st April 2023, Saturday, a total of 30 school leaders from the Prefects League Board along with Teacher Surilla and Cikgu Aisyah visited Sabah’s Islamic Civilization History Museum, Karamunsing.

The visit was included as one of the activities for Mutiara Kasih Ramadan Program hosted during the holy month of Ramadhan.
The visit lasted for 2 hours, from 10 a.m to 12 p.m. 

With Mr. Carl as their tour guide, the participants manage to see and learn more about the ancient Islamic artifacts brought in from middle east countries such as Turkey, Egypt, Iran, Morocco and India. Other than that, the group also learnt more in depth about the history and development of Islam in Sabah.

Other than that, the participants also managed to see the Bornean Gallery in the museum, which consists of some ancient relics left behind that was found in Sabah, neighboring state Sarawak, and the neighboring country Brunei.
